Note on terminology : Boxed or Racked tips are meant to be tips that have been pre-filled onto a 96-position rack or box. these boxes have a lid that cover the racks and thus protect the tips from dust and contamination. These racks in their respective boxes are sterile and kept sterile during transportation to the customer laboratories. In order to maintain the sterility, the user must open the tip boxes in a sterile environment, such as in a Biosafety cabinet.
